Site analysis

In these task, the whole class are divided into 4 big groups which take part in different section. Each students must share their findings with the whole class and produce site analysis SWOT, technical drawing and site model. I learnt that how important are the environment of the site can affect the situation of building itself.

7 weeks of progress to complete my final project. My retreat center Banyan Tree is a place for user to relief tiredness and painless. This is specially open for women who suffered after pregnancy sickness, period pain and stress of work. In these assignment, i learnt about how to managed the spaces according to space planing and services provided. Different services needed different furniture or space . To bring in the services to the users are very important also in order to promote the retreat centre. I also found that that the most basic requirement for a designer to understand the target audience and their needs. From that, we can develop design and planning to make the area relevant and comfortable for the target audience,

Project 2a : Promotional Kiosk

In this project, remain same group as project 1, we were asking to produce a promotional booth and promote a brand can represent our significant meaning of topic given-NATIVE. Banyan tree has become our brand target. We had rebranding Banyan Tree by replacing the color of leaves into gold, red, green, brown and blue to represent each therapy. They venue has been selected at Mid Valley Conventional centre. In these promotional booth task, we added mechanism furniture to remain the sizes of it as easy to move. In this group, some were not please to work together and pay attention to the task given. It did gave me and other groupmate a lot of pressure by completing the task on time. However, problems must be solve to get work done, by rearranging the section given to each groupmate , we managed to completed our work on time and done.

Project 1 : Research Findings

In this project, we are given a task to group in 4 members and choose a topic to be our research topic. Min wei, Kuai Bing, Celine and me had luckily choose NATIVE. We have been research on this topic for over 1-2 weeks and produce a video about Native. As the leader, I divided the group into 4 which each of us take part in each section : meaning of native, case studies, services provided and type of native provided. Each of us had complete our own task and come out with a informative video which explaining and showcasing all our research outcome. At first, the members wasn't work as please as I thought because everyone has different point of view and understanding according to different section. However, we still managed to complete our task as a team with discussion and helping each other.
