Lesson 4 : Interior Physical Components

For this lesson, i have learnt that most of the furniture is drawn by using a box shape. By using a box , it is easier to draw out the objects like chairs, tables and cupboard.

By using a box shape, I drawn out a sofa chair with different angle.

Not only that, I've learnt to draw human figure by noting the eye level and ground level. In interior or architecture, the human figure is very simple and presentable. It doesn't need to wear very beautiful dress or hair. all it needs is just a very simple human figure. Not necessary things like costume and hair are not allowed to draw.

                         Visual Diary Task :

For the visual diary task, I need to search some furnitures online and draw it out by using a box to start draw it.
The first one is an upholstered seating.

This is a chair.

This is a cupboard.

And this is a table.

Assignment :

For this assignment, my lecturer gave me a paper with an empty space. My task is to draw human figure in it and fill in the space with the furnitures. Of course, I must draw according the eye level and ground level . Also must draw the furniture by using a box as a starting point.

That's all , I hope you have get everything you want , Thank you ...

Lesson 3 : Sketch Note

This week , i learned about how to make sketchnote. At first, sketchnote is everything about simple. Not much words but more to drawing , illustration and rough sketch.

Also, in sketchnote, the picture or the drawing can represent some emotion, action, places and so on.

These are some basic drawing that can be used in sketchnote . By using these 5 elements , a simple sketchnote can be done.

Since is a sketchnote, of course is something drawn or record by a designer. Therefore, I will need to have a simple character that represent me. This will make the sketchnote more special as everyone will have different character.

Well , erm......
This is just the first sketching of my character sketching . To have my own character , I will have to keep testing and drawing to finalise my final character .

There are 6 important fundamental that should appeared in a normal sketchnote.
1. Letters
2. Bullets
3. Frames
4. Arrow
5. Shadow
6. Peeps

Visual Diary Task :

In the visual diary task. I need to " draw " a sentences which is
Reading It's like listening with your eyes

Assignment:

For this assignment, I have to spend my times to watch a movie ( comedy version ) and conclude the synopsis by using the 6 fundamental .

That's all , I hope you have get everything you want , Thank you ...

Lesson 2 : Sketching-Tonal value

Shading is to give sense of depth, space and volume to an objects. There are four basic techniques tonal shading for sketches which are Hatching, Crosshatching, Scribbling and stippling.

- Hatching is a repetition of parallel lines to create broad areas of tone.

- Crosshatching is adds another series of lines that cross the first set to creating even denser area of tones.

- Scribbling involves drawing of random, multidirectional lines.

- Stippling is a shading technique of very fine dots.

Visual Diary Task :
From this lesson, I am going to experience three different shading techniques by using sets of pencils. The shading should be from light to darker.

( crosshatching )

( Scribbling )

( Stippling )

( Hatching )

 (Sketching a watch )

Assignment

This assignment is to sketch a few objects by using different tone of pencils. The highlight is the sketching skill and shadows.

For this assignment is to sketch an object in details. I must sketch all the details about the objects.

Lesson1 :Basic form

Form is more inclusive term than either shape or figure internal structure + external outline + includes a sense of 3 Dimensional mass or volume. There are 3 basic shapes which are circle , square and triangle. These basic shapes can form many forms.

By using these three basic shapes, some basic forms can be formed or even more.

This picture shows that ow the basic shapes related to the forms.By using different shapes can produced different basic forms.

Even though is basic form but it can also be formed in different sizes , shapes and angle too.
( cube form square )

Basically, all the forms are produced by using the forms of cube. With cube , we can constryct any forms of shapes. For example, pyramid in cube.

Cube in cylinder

Cube in cuboid

Sphere in cube

And also Cone in cube.
Cube can produced many nice shapes by using it.
From all these, we can tell that shapes or forms are all around us everytime, everyday, everyway in different forms.

Visual Diary Task 1:

From this lesson, I am going to draw :
1. objects with cube form
2. Objects with cylinder form
3. Objects with cone form
4. Objects with sphere form
5. Combinations of objects with cube, cylinder, cone and sphere forms

1. Cube

( Rubik's cube )

2. Cylinder

( shampoo container , glue )

3. Cone

( Umbrella )

4. Sphere

( Basketball, Balloon )

5. Combinations

( Globe, Pencil )
