Dead or Alive ( Final projects of Intro design )

For Introduction to Interior Design projects, I have to create a story about what happened in Readng Island. The most important part is to create a weird starting point for the story such as how you be there in the Island.

For my story is about a reality online game. The character is a top rank online gamer. She received an unknown invitation email for inviting her to be a participant of a reality online game. As a " Master " of online game, she found this game very interesting and she accept it. After that, she followed all the instruction given to start the game. However, she is then unexpectedly appear in an Island.

This is how the story begins......

This will be the POD for the character to rest. This is a cave under a waterfall. With the advantages of not easy to be discovered by the enemies .

These are the weapons for the character to survive on the island.

Lesson 8 : Drawing with scale, section X-X, section Y-Y
After learning how to draw layout plan, drawing of elevation and section also need to be done.
By using the previous layout plan, I need to draw out the right elevation, sectionX-X and section Y-Y.

This is the right elevation of the house. All the lines must be clear and neat.

This is section Y-Y. Section is actually means that it cuts the house into half . Then draw out the half part. From the section, I can clearly see the interior of the house, the thickness of the wall....

And for this, this is section X-X. It looks very simple to draw but it actually took me a few hours to finish the drawing. Especially the doors and the windows. I always thought that that is the hardest to draw.

Lesson 5 : Understanding Plan ,Elevation & 3D view

To have a good drawing skill, a designer must have a good understanding about the plan, elevation and 3D view of an object . Therefore, this lesson will allow me to experience the understanding of these three elements plan, elevation and 3D view.

For this drawing, I drew on normal paper with different tone of pencils. There are 2D blocks, plan, elevation and 3D view of different shape of objects.

As for this I drew on tracing paper with different fine of felt tip pens. It actually performs different version of drawing .

From this assignment, I learned that to control the fineness of the pen or pencils is not an easy job. I have to keep practising to get into a higher level of drawing skill.Also, different darkness of pencils can represent as the tracing line, construction line or the objects.

Lesson 10 : Perspective Drawing
This week, I was learning One point perspective and two point perspective. I learn how to draw grid lines with the iven perspective and how to draw object by using the following perspective. I actually learnt how to draw one point and two point during my foundation. Therefore, this lesson can considered as a revision for me.

Lesson 9 :Axonometric Drawing
For axonometric drawing , the angle should be 45 degree to 45 degree or 30 degree to 60 degree.

To increase the understanding of this lesson, I have complete a task which is draw an object given by my lecturer .

Assignment

Also , I was given an assignment to complete at home. In this assignment, I have to use all the techniques that I learnt before at Redang..

At the following week, I have a test before I start the class. I was only given 15 minutes to draw out an object according to the given information.

Redang trip

Redang trip
During this week, is actually my mid-term break. My course organised a 4 days 3 night trip to Redang. Of course, The trip is not all about funs but also for learning.Is actually a different experience for me to have lesson at somewhere have beach, sun and sea.

In Redang, I learnt a new lesson which is paraline drawing. In Paraline drawing. The angle from ground line to the other line should be 30 degree to 30 degree.

By using the Paraline drawing method, I need to draw an objects in the Island to test my understanding.

Not only that, I also need to draw an object by given plan view of each side . I have to draw it out by using Paraline drawing.

Keep practising to draw objects by using the paraline drawing.

Not only that, I learn another way to draw a specific circle.But it seems like a little bit difficult to draw.

Visual Diary Task :

As usual, I need to complete the give task in my visual diary.By giving plan view of each side of the object, I need to draw it out by using paraline drawing. Also, started with a box shape.
